Xanthella Ltd are offering algal researchers the chance to win one of our microPharos bench-top photobioreactor systems. This is to celebrate the launch of the Phycophot™ range of research scale PBRs. The microPharos reactors were a big hit at the EPC6 in London this summer as many researchers visiting the stand were impressed with the Peltier cooling system and the magnetic assembly.
To be in with a chance of winning, simply fill in the details on the contact form and with the message “I want to win a microPharos!”. The lucky winner will be drawn 5TH NOVEMBER and should have their microPharos as a Christmas present. Those who have already entered the competition whilst at the EPC6, need not enter again.
Xanthella’s Phycophot™ PBR range is designed to be a universal reactor system, suitable for growing almost any type of microalgae and at any scale while using the same core components. This makes the PBR very flexible in its application and gives the customer a reactor family that can grow with their needs. At the heart of all of the systems in the range is Xanthella’s proprietary environmental control system: Zeus. This offers users the ability to optimise, monitor and control the environmental conditions within the PBR for whatever strain of algae they are using. The Zeus controller is extremely flexible. As well as RS232 communications, WiFi is built in so that the unit can be controlled and diagnosed remotely. The PBR range currently consists of the 1L microPharos PBRs and 20L Cyclops air lift PBRs. The company will introduce its Pandora range of production scale PBRs in the spring of 2016.
